La Val di Sole è situata nella parte nord-occidentale della Provincia autonoma di Trento. Confina con le provincie di Bolzano, Sondrio e Brescia.

La valle è percorsa dal fiume Noce ed è racchiusa dai gruppi montuosi dell’Ortles-Cevedale, dell’Adamello-Presanella e delle Dolomiti di Brenta, compresi nelle Alpi Retiche meridionali. La Val di Sole vanta la presenza di due importanti valli laterali, quelle di Rabbi e di Pejo.

Il territorio è ampio circa 610 kmq, ha una popolazione di circa 15.000 abitanti e un’altitudine che va dai 600 metri del confine con la Val di Non fino ai 3769 del monte Cevedale.

Capoluogo della valle è Malé. Il 28% del territorio solandro, ovvero 17.000 ettari, ricade nel Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. Notevole è inoltre la presenza del Parco Naturale Adamello-Brenta, l’area protetta più grande del Trentino.

Il bosco della Val di Sole, composto di latifoglie e conifere, ne rappresenta un chiaro tratto distintivo, scandito e caratterizzato dalla presenza di malghe e pascoli, frutto di una colonizzazione della montagna che risale all’antichità.

Where we are

Val di Sole is located in the north-western part of the Autonomous Province of Trento. It borders with the provinces of Bolzano, Sondrio and Brescia.
The valley is crossed by the river Noce and is enclosed by the mountain groups of Ortles-Cevedale, Adamello-Presanella and the Brenta Dolomites, included in the Southern Rhaetian Alps. Val di Sole boasts the presence of two important side valleys, those of Rabbi and Pejo.
The territory is about 610 square kilometers wide, has a population of about 15,000 inhabitants and an altitude ranging from 600 meters of the border with the Val di Non up to the 3769 of Mount Cevedale.
Capital of the valley is Malé. 28% of the territory of Solandro, or 17,000 hectares, falls within the Stelvio National Park. Also noteworthy is the presence of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, the largest protected area in Trentino.
The wood of Val di Sole, composed of broad-leaved and coniferous trees, is a clear distinctive feature, marked and characterized by the presence of mountain pastures and pastures, the result of a colonization of the mountain dating back to antiquity.

Val di Sole befindet sich im nordwestlichen Teil der Autonomen Provinz Trient und grenzt an die Provinzen Bozen, Sondrio und Brescia.
Der Fluss Noce durchquert das Tal, umgeben von den Gebirgsgruppen Ortles-Cevedale, Adamello-Presanella und den Brenta-Dolomiten, Teil der südlichen Rhätischen Alpen. Rabbi und Pejo sind wichtige Seitentäler von Val di Sole.
Das Gebiet hat eine Größe von 610 Quadratkilometer mit etwa15.000 Einwohnern, und liegt auf einer Seehöhe von 600 Metern an der Grenze mit dem Val di Non beziehungsweise auf 3769 Metern des Monte Cevedale.
Hauptstadt des Tales ist Malé. 28% der Fläche – oder 17.000 Hektar – von Solandro gehören zum Nationalpark Stilfser Joch. Darüber hinaus ist der Naturpark Adamello-Brenta bemerkenswert – er ist das größte Naturschutzgebiet des Trentino.
Der Walddes Val di Sole, bestehend aus Laub- und Nadelbäumen, ist geprägt von Almen und Weiden, die auf die Besiedelung des Berges bis in das Altertum zurückgehen.
